Youth Ministry
Our youth are fully engaged in the life of our church. They participate in worship and other events on a regular basis as well as create and lead worship services around specific themes.
Regular Meeting Times
Youth gather regularly on Sunday mornings at 9:45 a.m. for Church School and Sunday evenings at 5:30 p.m. Sunday mornings are usually dedicated to some type of biblical study. Sunday evening topics and activities vary. Our youth participate in mission and service projects throughout the year as well as advocacy activities.
Some annual events for our youth include:
- Planning worship services like BYC Sunday and Youth/Graduate Sunday
- MLK Service Project, Habitat for Humanity build, Atlanta Gay Pride Parade, Serving meals at Hagar’s House
- Fellowship events that include movies, ice skating, days at the park, short retreats, game nights, and many others.
- Baptist Youth Camp – Each summer, the youth travel to Laurel Ridge Retreat Center to spend a week with youth from like-minded churches around the southeast. They participate in bible study, youth-led worship, and other activities like sports, outdoor adventures, crafts, bonfires, and a variety show.
